Student Achievement Manager (Pastoral Support)

Pay: Grade 19 - 23 (full time equivalent £25,481 to £27,741 per annum).

Post:  37 hours per week.  Fixed term post (term time only plus 5 Inset days)

We wish to recruit a creative individual to work with members of teaching staff in providing support and motivation to our students through counselling and coaching and will be working across all year groups.  The ability to establish clear expectations of good behaviour and student achievement is vital.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and proven experience of working with young people and their families.  Areas of focus will include working with students with complex needs. 

The successful candidate will also have a safeguarding triage DSL role and should:

  • Have experience of safeguarding in school
  • Undergo DSL training (Fairfield will provide)
  • Input information and follow up on actions using CPOMS
  • Undergo safeguarding and DSL actions – reports monitored, action outcomes and support the DSLs

This is a temporary position on a fixed term contract to start as soon as possible to 31/08/2021.  Salary is based on grade 19 – 23, full time equivalent of £25,481 to £27,741.  The actual pro rata salary for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 10 days will be £22,381 - £24,366 per annum.

Hours of work will be 37 per week, from 8.15am until 4.15pm four days per week, and from 8.30am until 4.00pm one day per week.  These timings are inclusive of half an hour daily for lunch.  There will be a requirement to work all five INSET days, plus five days.

Temporary Learning Support Assistant

Pay:       Grade 7 - 11 (full time equivalent of £20,097 - £21,748 per annum)

Post:      32.5 hours per week. Fixed term until 31/08/2021.

Fairfield High School is seeking to recruit a temporary Learning Support Assistant for 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 Inset days. 

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work in whole class settings and small group intervention.  The successful candidate should have experience of working with students with difficulties in cognition and learning and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.  You should also possess a high degree of initiative, be able to work independently and as part of a faculty team. The role will also support the SENCO in terms of providing regular administrative support, e.g. maintaining student files, updating SIMS records, CPOMS records, support with agency referral forms, support with Annual Review paperwork
