Fairfield High School provides outstanding opportunities for learning across the curriculum. We also have a resource base for vision impaired and hearing impaired students.

Fairfield High School is part of the Excalibur Academies Trust and works closely with its partner schools to develop opportunities for staff and students, while remaining very much an individual school. The Trust has grown from two schools in Marlborough, Wiltshire, to 11 schools in four local authorities stretching from Bristol to Reading along the M4 corridor, providing high quality education to almost 4000 children from age 2 to 18.

Careers Development:

Fairfield supports employees in continuous professional development (CPD) where required and expects everyone to participate in the performance management scheme. The aim is to raise the skills levels of staff to create a happy, motivated and skilled workforce.

Teaching in Bristol:

Bristol Learning City has developed a website which contains short films of current Bristol teachers speaking about their positive experience to give an insight into teachers considering the area.

The website also aims to:

  • Celebrate education successes in the City
  • Promote Bristol as a place to teach and lead
  • Share opportunities for professional development
