Computer Science Week is a Success

The majority of KS3 students participated and completed a variety of tasks on the http://code.org/learn website during Computer Science week. 

Launched in 2013, Code.orgĀ® is a non-profit dedicated to expanding participation in computer science by making it available in more schools, and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color. Their vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science. They believe computer science and computer programming should be part of the core curriculum in education, alongside other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses, such as biology, physics, chemistry and algebra.

Here are two very proud year 9 students who gained a certificate after completing their tasks and well done to all those who enjoyed their coding experience:
