Students win prize in Goethe-Institut Digital Days Competition

Pupils have won third prize in the 'Sports Commentary Reading' category in the  Goethe-Institut Digital Days competition “Reisefieber”.

Over 1200 pupils from all across the UK have taken part in our Digital Days Competition Series this year and more than 100 were involved in the special category Traces, making it very difficult for the selection panel to come to a decision and to choose the very best.

Year 10 students, Luke Winter-Lockwood 10S, Peter Jenkins 10S, Stan Crosby 10N, Moira Hutchinson 10R and David Mellings 10S took on the persona of German radio sports commentators to film their “World Cup” broadcast whilst Holly Hindson 10Q provided excellent background technical support.

Anne-Cathrin Saure from the Goethe-Institut London said: 'Your students' entry was judged to be unique and creative. Moreover, the thorough and high-standard implementation along with a strong demonstration of your pupil's German language skills has been very convincing.'

Mrs Barnes, Assistant Director for Languages & Internationalism said 'I have a big smile on my face and I am incredibly proud of my year 10 students.'
