Science Trip - All Year 7s

The Science department would like to invite all Year 7 students to attend the Big Bang Science Fair at Birmingham NEC on Friday 15th March 2019. Students will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition covering virtual reality, medicine, marine biology, film and TV, space exploration, explosive chemistry, crime-solving, robots, computer coding, microscopic bugs, giant trucks and more. 

Enjoy high-octane theatre shows, 150+ interactive stands and workshops, inspiring science and engineering projects, careers information, resources and activities. This is a very popular trip that Fairfield Science department has run successfully every year. The cost of this trip is £14. We have limited funds to support any student who may have difficulty with payment for this trip - please apply to the Director of Science Mr Mears: SMears@fairfield.excalibur.org.uk.

We will be leaving by coach on Friday 15th March 2019 at 9am sharp and returning to school at 3:45pm. Parents/carers will be expected to arrange collection of their child from school upon our return at 3:30pm. Students are expected to attend in their normal school uniform and will require a packed lunch. If your child is entitled to free school meals, a lunch will be provided.
