TECHNICIAN - 37 hours per week

Pay:                    Grade 5–7 (actual salary for 37 hrs per week term time only plus 2 Inset plus 5 days point is £16,259-£16,907       per annum)

Fairfield High School is seeking to employ on a permanent basis a Technician for 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 Inset days plus 5 days. 

We welcome applications for specialists in Science, Art or Design Technology.  You will work in close liaison with teachers and other technicians and assist in the day-to-day preparation of teaching resources and maintenance of equipment.   You will join a team of technicians and the successful candidate will be logical, have good time management and be able to use their own initiative and work alone at times. 

        Hours of work will be Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 4.00pm, Fridays 8.00am – 3.30pm (inclusive of half an hour for lunch)

TECHNICIAN - PART TIME - 15 to 22.5 hours per week (negotiable)

Pay:                            Grade 5 – 7 (£9.74 - £10.14 hourly rate)

Hours:                         15 - 22.5 hrs per week term time only plus 2 Inset plus 5 days

Post:                            Fixed term until 31/08/2020

Fairfield High School is seeking to employ, on a fixed term basis until 31/08/2020, a part-time Technician to work between 15 – 22.5 hours per week (over two or three days), term time plus 2 Inset days plus 5 days.

CATERING ASSISTANT - PART TIME 16 hours per week

Pay:                                   £9.00 per hour

Post:                                  Permanent

Hours:                               16 hours per week term time only plus 5 days

Closing Date:                    9.00am on Monday 04/11/2019

We are looking to appoint a part time Catering Assistant to work from 12.15pm – 3.15pm four days a week and 11.15 – 3.15pm one day per week, term time only plus 5 Inset days.

The successful candidate will assist the Catering Manager, where necessary with:

The preparation, cooking and serving of food

  • Transporting and selling of food items and equipment, complying with EHO temperature control regulations, food hygiene practices
  • Vending machine replenishment and maintenance to include cash collection, etc
  • Assist with setting up and clearing the service counter
  • Assist in clearing, cleaning, washing up within the kitchen, including ‘deep cleaning’
  • Assist in operating the tills and the cashless system and the handling of cash when required

EXAM INVIGILATORS REQUIRED

£9 - £10.25 per hour (dependant on experience)

Invigilators play a key role in the successful running of exams and you will work as part of an experienced and friendly team, reporting to the Head Invigilator.

We need flexible, reliable people to fulfil this vital school role. 

This post is casual, term time only to cover exam dates throughout the school year.

Hours are variable, morning sessions could start at 8am and afternoon sessions could continue to 5pm.

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The role of an exam invigilator involves a variety of things including:

  • To arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination session to be invigilated
  • Preparation of the exam room
  • To be familiar with the current examination regulations
  • Handing out/collecting exam papers
  • Supervising students whilst the exam is in progress
  • Assisting a student with Special Needs or Access Arrangements as a reader or scribe
  • Ensuring that students comply with exam rules and regulations

No experience necessary, training will be given.

4th –15th November 2019

24th February – 6 March 2020

11th May – 18th June 2020
