We are proud to announce that 92% of our Year 11 students (2018-19) moved into Further Education, Employment, Training or Apprenticeships. (Note that 7% of the cohort are currently unknown.)

Ofsted 2017: "You have expanded the opportunities for pupils and have made productive links with large local businesses. Pupils gain work experience and apprenticeships because of these."

Choosing a direction in life can be one of the most challenging and confounding things we can do at any age. The landscape of education, training and employment opportunities that students need to steer through is more complex and more challenging than that faced by previous generations.

That is why Fairfield is committed to providing a planned, fit for purpose Careers Education programme for all students in Years 7-11. Careers and Employability is accorded high priority within our school and seen as crucial in equipping our students to feel empowered and informed to make decisions regarding the opportunities and challenges of adult and working life.

Throughout their time with us, we ensure that students receive support and guidance with a comprehensive and varied Careers Education. Fairfield works closely with our linked governor and the Careers & Enterprise Company to measure our provision against the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.
