Calling local businesses – can you help students learn more about the world of work?

The school places a strong emphasis on developing skills that young people will need to move into employment and has a number of projects to take this further.

These include considering seeking accreditation as a provider of the International Baccalaureate career-related programme and working to gain the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership's Employability Chartermark. Please download the information below.

Principal (Acting) Nick Lewis comments that the school is always seeking to add to the provision of inspirational careers advice for students.

“The support can take a number of forms from simply offering to talk with students for 20 minutes about the work you do, to providing work experience placements or helping with mock interviews,” he said.

“In addition to our valuable relationship with Burges Salmon, we are looking for one or two local businesses where we can develop close links, so that they can influence our curriculum to provide students with the skills needed to be outstanding employees in the 21st century global jobs market.

If you are able to help, please contact Mr Lewis on nle@fairfield.bristol.sch.uk
