Sport Relief Success

Term 4 really hit the ground running with everyone at Fairfield having the opportunity to be a part of getting active through this year’s Sport Relief and what a group effort. Fairfield did a great job at raising £435.24 during a mixture of events put on throughout the week. Each year group took part in the 1 mile run. This year saw some record breaking times, well done to everyone who took part and dressed up. A special well done to the following students who have all won a prize for the fastest times in their year group for Boys-Fastest time Girl-Fastest time. Isacc Staines, Frances Benson, Josh Burnet Mchugh, Freya Crawford, Sadiq Yusuf, Nancy Buist, Flo Crosby, Isacc Bennetta, Elsa Blakemore, Matias Martinez Quiroga, Sadie Coulton, Elliot Degg, Kamika Carty, Mohamed Alsayed, Dot Williams, Tyrone Colton, Cat White. A special congratulations to Elliot Degg who completed the mile in 7 minutes 1 second. Prizes will be awarded to all those above in the next house assembly.

As well as the 1 mile run we were also lucky enough to host a range of events such as staff v students tug of war, beat the goalie, staff v students netball where the staff continued their winning ways. We were also lucky enough to welcome the return of Bristol Roller Derby who gave up a lunchtime to provide a taster session, thank you to all those involved. Whilst some of us took to it like ducks to water others took a little warming up but safe to say we finished the session with no broken bones. Result!
