Boys PE - Football news

The boys football teams have enjoyed another fantastic season with 3 out of our 5 football teams making it through to the Bristol Schools Quarter finals.

Year 7 captained by Harry Brooks finished their first season with a strong win against City Academy winning 8-1 ending the season P3 won 2 lost 1.

Year 8 (pictured here) captained by Andre Miles had a difficult season in a very competitive league, winning two of their games and losing two of their games. They also finished the season strongly with a massive 12-1 win against the City Academy.

Due to the poor weather conditions Year 9 captained by Isaac Benetta only manged to complete two of their games in which they drew and lost. They do however remain our most committed year group and a pleasure to take. Year 10 captained by Elliott Degg had a stellar season winning all four of their games scoring a massive 26 goals and only conceding 2 goals, the highlight of the season being an impressive 5-1 win away at Redland Green School. We had very high hopes for this team this season so we are very disappointed the season ended prematurely.

Unfortunately we are one of only two Schools in North Bristol able to field a Football team this year so we therefore had a straight play off with Redland Green School for who would finish first or second. We lost the game 5-3 to a very strong Redland team but it fantastic to observe the game being played to such a high standard by both teams and played in such great spirit.
