Bank of England visit

On Thursday 26th September 35 students from Years 10 and 11 were privileged to enjoy a talk from Mr Justin Jacobs, from the Bank of England. The talk covered the workings of the economy, the role of the Bank of England and how to access employment opportunities in the banking sector. The presentation was a collaboration between the Maths department, the school’s Numeracy program and the school’s Careers & Employability program.

It was wonderful that Fairfield were able to provide students with the facility to meet a representative from one the important central banks in the world and that they could learn a little more about the way the economy worked, and how it affects them.
